Our House
The ground has been broke!!! It is so exciting to see something that has been drawn on a piece of paper come to life! In the past couple of weeks the crews have been hard at work on Thompson Road. Lots of nails, bricks and lumber have been used to construct our dreams. Now we are
having to make
decisions that w
ill reflect in the house. I never knew that there were so many colors and types of brick. Did you know that you can get two toned windows too? So many decisions to be made, and they are making my head spin! All in all it has been fun and interesting so far. I am going to try to post pi
ctures as much as I can so I can try to keep things straight in my head. Think of this as therapy. Here is what has been done so far....

The Pole Has Been Moved!!
Finally the pole has been moved on our property to make way for our new house! We have been patiently waiting for this for 2 years now. After Paul drew the plans himself, and we got everything approved by the right persons, we are ready for some much needed ground to be broke! It is starting to get "real" to us and I think that the nervousness of picking out cabinets and counter tops is going to hit soon. Until then we are living in the moment and we are ready for the "Big" machines to make their presence known. Oh how our future neighbors are going to love having us come to town!

Snow Day 2009
Today we had a snow day and it was great! It started snowing in the middle of the night and didn't stop until midmorning. When the kids saw it they went nuts!! I have never seen my kids try to get dres
sed so fast in my life. Unfortunately Paul was out of town so it was just me and the kids. We started out at our house and we saw a bunch of people up on the hill behind our house. Of course we had to go see what they were doing over there! After we hiked up the hill Adam decided that he needed to be at the bottom of the hill with the other kids. But the snow was starting to melt and under all that snow was mud!! So pretty much he was sliding down a mud hill! Oh well, he had a great time. Lucy ran around until she got tired and decided that she was ready to go into the house because she was too cold. As for Mark he wanted to stay out all day. He was grinning from ear to ear the whole time. It didn't matter if he was walking, riding on the board or face down in the snow, he was laughing the entire time. All in all it was a blast and all 3 kids slept so well that night. We can't wait for the next "big" snow!!!
